About Electronic Health Management Information System (eHMIS)

The Electronic Health Management Information System (eHMIS), also known as the Electronic Health Recording System (EHRs), was developed by Easy Access in line with the Health Management Information System (HMIS) Recording and Reporting Guideline issued by the Government of Nepal. The guideline covers 68 types of record forms (cards, registers) and 5 types of reporting forms, resulting in a total of 73 types of record and reporting formats. 

The eHMIS enables health institutions to digitize their recording and reporting tools, improving data accuracy, enabling real-time monitoring, and facilitating evidence-based decision-making. This system supports healthcare workers, program managers, and policymakers in making more informed decisions. 

The eHMIS was developed in consultation with representatives from the Integrated Health Information, Management Division, Department of Health Services, Government of Nepal, and key stakeholders from Health Posts, Urban Health Centers, Hospitals, and health departments across various municipalities. This system is currently being implemented in several metropolitan cities, sub-metropolitan cities, and municipalities throughout Nepal.
